Allyson Felix
Allyson Nicole Felix was born November 18 the 18th of November, 1985, located in Los Angeles. Paul Felix, her father was a pastor ordained at Master's Seminary Sun Valley. Marlean Felix worked at Balboa Magnet school for children in the elementary grades. Felix realized early on that she had a talent to run when she was a student at Los Angeles Baptist High School. She finished second in the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championships after only 10 weeks, after the first time she tried out. Felix signed a contract for a career in professional sports with Adidas in 2003. She then enrolled at University of Southern California to pursue a degree in elementary education. Felix received her first Olympic gold at the Athens Summer Olympics 2004. Felix broke a junior-world record running 200 meters for 22.18. Felix became the world's youngest champion in the 200 meters in the 2005 Helsinki World Championships and defended her title again in 2007 beating long-time Jamaican rival Veronica Campbell. Felix took part in her first Olympics at Beijing London Rio de Janeiro as well as Tokyo consistently placing within the top three in all her events.
